This is the privacy statement of Time-Team, a company of H-square B.V., registered at the Chamber of Commerce under number 83289437 (hereafter: “Time-Team”).

Your privacy is critically important to us.

It is Time-Team's policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites. This privacy statement applies to information we collect through time-team.com, time-team.nl, time-team.fr, time-team.uk, homerace.nl, rowingtracker.com, roeiuitslagen.nl, tmtm.link, regatta-systems.com and all subdomains (hereafter, "the Website”). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting personally identifiable information you may provide us through the Website. We have adopted this privacy statement ("Privacy Statement") to explain what information may be collected on our Website, how we use this information, and under what circumstances we may disclose the information to third parties. 

Time-Team processes your personal data in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations relating to the protection of personal data (including the General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”). Below you can read more about what personal data we process from you, how we do this, why and what your rights are. 

Depending on your activities when visiting our Website, you may be required to agree to additional terms and conditions.

Processing of personal data and purposes

When using and visiting the Website, Time-Team will process the following personal data for the purposes listed below.

In order to execute your requests, we will process them:

  • if you visit our Website: your approval or refusal with regard to the placing of cookies. We do this so that the Website functions optimally for you. You can read more about this in our cookie paragraph;
  • when you contact us by email or through the contact form on our Website: your name, (email) address, telephone number, and any other (personal) data you share with us, including of course your comment (request, question or complaint). We do this to be able to take note of your comment, to contact you and to keep you informed of the progress of the treatment;
  • if you subscribe to our newsletters: your name and email address. We do this to inform you about developments and about our services. If you no longer wish to receive this information, you can unsubscribe via a link in the mailing concerned;
  • if you sign up, or someone on behalf of you signs you up for a rowing regatta or event, we collect your name, email address, country/place of residence, gender, age, weight category, the association you are a member of and the results of the regatta or event. We do this to be able to register you as a participant to the event, to collect the results of the regatta or event and to inform you of any potential future events or related services.

Without the above data, we will not be able to fulfil your requests.

In the context of our legitimate interest (to be able to improve our website and to comply with laws and regulations), we process:

  • when you visit our Website: the unique identifier and statistics regarding the pages viewed, traffic to and from the Website, the time of your visit, the referring URL, any keywords used by you, the operating system you use, the browser you use, specifications about the device or equipment you use, your IP address and, if provided by you, your name and email address. This information helps us to measure the interest in our Website and to improve its user-friendliness and effectiveness; 
  • in response to complaints or reports: information about (alleged) infringements of intellectual property rights and/or other unlawful acts. In addition, we may provide (personal) data to third parties, such as rightholders, supervisors, tax authorities, the police and other investigative bodies, where we are obliged to do so by law or where we see reason to do so on the basis of this Privacy Statement;
  • if you sign up, or someone on behalf of you signs you up for a rowing regatta or event, we collect your name, country/place of residence, gender, age and weight category, the association you are a member of and the results of the regatta or event to be able to publish them on our Website.

Processing by means of cookies

Time-Team makes use of cookies on the Website. Cookies are small text files that are placed on a PC, tablet or mobile phone by an internet page.

Pursuant to Dutch and European privacy legislation, every website that measures visitor behavior and records data about it in, for example, cookies (and that includes almost all websites), must inform these visitors about this and, in some cases, obtain their prior permission.

Google Analytics

The above mentioned cookies come from Google Inc.

Time-Team uses this service to track and get reports on how visitors use the Website. Such as visitor numbers, popular pages, etc. In this way, Time-Team can better attune its communications to the needs of Website visitors. Google may provide this information to third parties where Google is legally obliged to do so, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. We have no influence on this.

Time-Team has concluded a processing agreement with Google Inc. and has configured Google Analytics in a privacy-friendly manner, in accordance with the recommendations of the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens. Time-Team has opted for masking the last octet of the IP address, has switched off the 'data sharing' option and does not use any other Google services in combination with the Google Analytics cookies.

Google may also use the data collected by the cookies for its own purposes. We have no influence on this. You can read more about how Google handles your data in the Google privacy statement.

Third parties

Except for the above-mentioned purposes, your personal data will not be shared with any other parties, with the exception of trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website (such as hosting parties), conducting our business, or servicing you, such as our clients, being organizers of the regattas or events, hereafter: “Clients”. 

The parties engaged by Time-Team, must comply with strict security requirements and have agreed not to use the data for any purpose other than those mentioned above. They will therefore not be allowed to use the data for their own purposes, except for the Clients of Time-Team or Time-Team itself.

The parties engaged by Time-Team may be parties based in the United States. Time-Team is aware that the Privacy Shield has been declared invalid and that this has consequences for the transfer of personal data to these parties. Time-Team is currently examining how best to overcome this, for example by agreeing on model clauses with these parties and also to encrypt the data. Once a definitive solution has been found, Time-Team will inform you of this through this Privacy Statement.

We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our Website policies, or protect our or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

If Time-Team, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Time-Team goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Time-Team may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this Privacy Statement.

Storage period

Time-Team will not keep your personal data longer than necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Statement and, more specific, for the following retention time:

  • for the retention periods of the cookies we use: please read our cookie paragraph;
  • when you have signed up for our newsletters: your data will be retained for that purpose until you unsubscribe.

Information related to the visitor and arising from the use of the Website will only be stored for a longer period in a form that no longer makes it possible to identify the visitor. 

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information. We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology and then encrypted into our database to be only accessed by those authorized with special access rights to our systems and are required to keep the information confidential. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, passport information, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.
